Over four decades ago, Dane Harman made a wood stove for his own home out of necessity. Word spread and soon he was building stoves for his friends and neighbors. He quickly outgrew his garage and both he and his wife, Gloria, quit their jobs to start Harman Stove & Welding. With an innate eye for design, a deep understanding of heat exchangers and expert welding skills, Dane continued to design wood, coal, pellet and gas stoves. Coining the tagline “Built to a Standard, Not a Price” in 1980, Harman became known as a manufacturer of attainable luxury stoves.
